how do you make an insulated dog house with out an air conditioner? and some little designs to d on the sides and stuff?

I want to buy a nail gun to build my own dog houses and went online to check out how much they were when I found out that there is quite a few different brands, types, and size nail guns. Boy was I surprised. I will need the nail to go through a 2x4 and plywood as well as siding. Thanks in advance

My dogs are outside dogs,so I want it to be insulated. I want to build it so any websites with free plans would help. They are large dogs.Any Ideas,how to use insulation,or plans would help. Best answer gets 10 points!

Would appreciate some tips from people who've built their own dog houses.

I need to buy a dog house for my future dog that will live primarily outside. I would preferr it to be insulated and under $200. If I build a box the size I want with a door on one side and then build another layer around the first that is about 6 inches bigger and fill the gap with insulation. The outside layer would also have a pitched roof with shingles on it.

The temp is in the 30's at night and in the 40's to 50's in the day. It seems from the answers so far I will need to get thewm some doggy jackets for the remainder of the winter here in S.C.
